Heroes and Villains: Day 24

Doctor Poison

24 August. Something different today. Addition of 15cc [REDACTED] with interesting results. If we believe the rats: sudden and absolute. None of the West End Phosgene collapse, no time for monologue or degenerate modern dance. Nothing to make sympathies blister up. Imagine the fed waistcoats making a war in soft chairs, then fumbling to draft rules longhand. My phial will bottle a thousand sniper rounds. Slight lingering smell like pre-ration chocolates. Good for everyone. Work to do: haze still thin and ragged. Only strong in close quarters. Time again to hide my face and try to master a cloud. The way children and daydreamers try to name their shapes, as if art gives them any control. As a child I heard the fable of a god taking form of a discrete cloud, leading his people to wipe out a rival nation, indiscriminate, to their last name. Never mind the hopeless Englishman: a cloud cannot be lonely. It can be so thick, that you cannot read a poem or a treaty. So particular you cannot see another soul, even one close enough to hold.
