The future is eerie and certain. When
you found out, it made you ready
to show the world
your etchings or sing opera
with an opera voice. Move
to a little fishing village downeast
and open a Kentucky Fried Albatross.
Now the sky is an enormous raccoon
coat, deep with the Goodwill mothball
smell. Look, the only light twinkles
from two binary stars. No: a pair
of kohl eyes that know what you do.
Getting closer now. Ready to giggle
about your secrets.
