Poem On: Day 27
Zapdos (#145)
The ceremony ended
and we met the legend: a hummingbird
big as a man, thrumming with power
and mad at the world. Kid,
he said, you put on
a hell of a show. Your song
called me. Dance and totem-
shape described a flightpath.
A formula. Don’t get me
wrong. I am the Thunder.
My blink and echo are the
violence of making within
this ancient womb-forge-world.
But I was bound for you.
Elements follow rules.
If you pray 1 and 1, your god
will answer 2.
