Candy Shop - Day 30

 Three Musketeers

If you fight on the right
side, the legend goes, of God
and histories, your blade
will feel airy, weightless
as Chantilly cream. Even physics
dare not intrude as you win
or die with featherlight justice
in your heart. The catch,

of course, is practice
makes perfect. Could be the foil
is light from what you spent
to study war: one hundred advances,
one hundred retreats, routines to catch
the steel, parade, touch each morning.
Ask yourself: does taking up
the weapon feel like tongue
receiving host, or shaking hands
with the butcher after you've paid?
