Candy Shop - Day 22

 Frooties

Need enough of something and it'll come
in barrels. Color is like this: broken
in four and funneled into drums, the kind
you imagine when people say blood
for oil. Every flavor to delight
an eye eddies where those rivers meet.
Proportion, says the alchemist, matters,
and they run dry in the order you love
them most-to-least, children failing
the marshmallow experiment again.
The C well fades, no longer at the full--
sorry, you can't have the red you need
for want of blue. Some flag might look
weak, or worse yet, wrong. Better
not commit anything for now.
