The bowl of virtuous gruel (if left
untouched) will first become unpleasant,
then slowly turn by airborne grace
thoughtful and effervescent.
Yet brewers, newly free, had beer
on offer in a day, no later--
a miracle just shy of Christ's
when He the thirsty wedding catered.
