Overlook Cafe

The Good Humor display at the Cancer Hospital
is nearly empty. An orphaned Twin Pop, a few sad
Dreamsicles. The front promises a glossy world
in confection that sold out last week, three-stage
rockets consumed by the dark, our heroes' faces
handed out one by one. Too early for ice cream
anyhow. The glass case hums as it sifts motion
from the air.
