No foolin'

Yes, friends, it's time once again for the 30/30 poem-a-day April challenge.

National Poetry Month may be a bit overproduced, and (as with all National What-Have-You Months) is certainly arbitrary. But that's no reason not to get into the spirit.

Last year I did double-duty, viz. 60+ poems in April, as a contributor to the O, Miami festival. No such overtime this year, but I am juggling an exciting new job and an exciting new baby, as well as the cranky old muse. We'll see how it goes.

As with every year, I'm obligated to direct your attention to the fine print: these are unpublished drafts you are choosing to view with that understanding, and are of course copyrighted de facto. You know the deal.
